Projects
FADe Project
The Fake Antenna Detection Project is aimed to develop the strategy proposed by the project SEAGLASS at the University of Washington, to detect the use of IMSI-Catchers with a standardized methodology within three cities in Latin America, to develop its promotion, technical tools, and data obtained with local allies. I feel utterly content with the results of this project. I’ve been able to develop my skills as a project manager and not only monitor, follow-up regarding scope, timing, and costs but also resolve problems, improve operations, and provide support among the stakeholders. Manage quality assurance programs, including on-site evaluations, internal audits, and stakeholder surveys.
South Lighthouse
South Lighthouse is an organization founded in 2018, aimed at designing, monitoring, controlling, consulting, and training projects oriented to the research and development of technologies. Our goal is to develop projects of interest in Latin America, and we are currently focusing on those related to user surveillance and mapping of abusive technological practices. In this case, my responsibilities revolve around managing remote projects, monitoring, follow-up, and developing human management techniques.
SDA Manual
This manual seeks to complement the work initiated by the community of facilitators in securing within civil society, making available to the beneficiary organizations themselves a set of activities that allow generating organizational security policies in harmony with the real needs of each, adaptable to change and lasting over time. This is a practical manual written to be used by information security facilitators who wish to complement their training and/or accompaniment work in civil society organizations. However, anyone, not directly related to information security, can be applied but yet interested in the subject. As an external consultant, my responsibilities gravitated around, making this a project feasible in terms of timing and cost-effectiveness. I also directed the edition, graphic designing, and translating the EN/ES versions of the manual.
Architecture
During five years of my life, I dedicated myself entirely to be part of the development of architectural and big-scale construction projects. Most of my work can be seen here!
Collaborations
Since 2019 this organization trough some of their projects aims to train security auditors to assist organizations at risk in Latin America. As a logistic coordinator, my responsibilities are oriented toward reporting debriefs to founders, managing the most suitable location for any event, book international travel arrangements for individuals, including scheduling flights and ground transportation, and handling any other related budgetary tasks.
